In this fashion-minded society of today, most people think that pursuing a lifestyle that’s highly fashionable is a very costly affair. But, Gawdhess is here to break those notions. They are trying to tell people that living a fashionable low waste lifestyle can be cost-effective, accessible, and fun! Hence, we had to design a website for making this message reach a large number of people. This was being built as a community website so we included different features accordingly.
Though we had built websites for the community earlier, this was somewhat different. The basic structure remained the same, just a few tweaks here and there. The only challenge that we faced was creating a design that portrays a great fashion sense!
This was a great experience for our team. We got to interact with a lot of fashion industry experts and got to learn some really cool stuff about a lot of things. Also, we learnt how maintaining a low-cost fashion sense can be really easy and fun!
Since this website was going to give people tips about developing a great lifestyle, it had to be really illustrative. We made use of quite many photos and a wide variety of blogs that will help people clear misconceptions about fashion and lifestyle!
We wanted to cover as many niches as we could on this website so that we could help more and more people adopt a cost-effective lifestyle. We built 5 different sections in the navigation bar namely fashion, beauty, lifestyle, travel and money. Each of these sections contains different kinds of blogs to help people understand fashion better!
Since it is a world where most of the millennials and even the older generation uses mobile to access the internet, we made this website to be responsive and mobile-friendly. This website works perfectly well on any screen size and can be accessed from anywhere!
We made sure that with a great front end the site should also possess a strong backend! We only used technologies and features that could be easily used by the Gawdhess team later. We interacted with them and explained to them about regularly updating the content on their website!
After some really long working sessions and interactions with various people across different time zones, we crafted this beautiful website that is going to be really helpful and would make affordable fashion really popular among people!
